Day 6 - Explore Santa Fe, settled by the Spanish in 1607. You will most certainly enjoy all you see and experience in this nearly 400 year old city.
Day
7 - Enter Mesa Verde National Park, one of the nation’s major archaeological preserves, consisting of more than 4,000 archaeological sites and 600 cliff dwellings. An altogether thrilling place!
Day 8 - We drive northerly today to Moab, Utah. There will be an especially interesting stop at Newspaper Rock, in Canyonlands National Park, which is a wall of ancient petroglyphs and pictographs, two forms of ancient rock art. Stay two nights.
Day 9 - Arches National Park, near Moab, contains the largest number of natural stone arches in the country. Along with over 1,800 arches are many red rock canyons, spires, fins and balancing rocks to photograph.
Day 10 - We’re off to Salt Lake City, traveling, through an interesting and beautiful variety of country, from red rocks to an alpine pass. Farewell dinner.
Day 11 - Depart from the West today, with unforgettable memories.
